Job Description
Responsible for leading and supervising a team of engineers as they develop, test, modify, and create solutions to technical problems. This role requires a person who possesses a strong understanding of software architecture, design & development coupled with ability to manage teams & projects. Your primary focus will be on building a SAAS platform that is modular, scalable, high performance and secure. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design, and quality product is essential.
Roles & Responsibilities
Manage the architecture, design, development, testing, and production of entire SAAS platform Perform reviews of all designs to ensure they address failure modes, scalability, security and are suitable for tier 1 services Collaborate with Product & Business teams in concept discussions and proposed technology solutions to deliver roadmap features with agility and high quality Develop project specifications, schedules, people assignment and meet delivery goals Continuously improve the processes, methods & technology practices of the team Hiring, retention, performance management of tech leads, individual contributors and help manage their professional development
Requirements
Competency in software development - Estimate, Schedule, Design, Dev, Testing, Delivery; Maintenance; Monitoring framework, APM or ELK; Code reviews, best practices, CI/CD
Experience in development of SAAS offerings and multitenancy backend systems
Proven background & understanding of - Technical architecture & design, micro services architecture development, programming fundamentals, distributed systems, DBMS & Web application servers
Hands on experience in web application development and associated skills in a high-stakes environment - HTTP, REST, Web Services, SOA
Hands on experience in technologies like -
Programming: GoLang (full site of Go frameworks & tools), PHP, NodeJS
DB: PostGres, Mongo or any RDBMS/ NoSQL
Caching: Varnish, Redis, Memcahe
Good understanding of asynchronous messaging platform like RabbitMQ, Kafka
Thorough knowledge of developing cross platform applications - Web, Mobile Web both
